What is the GDPR?
GDPR, or the General Data Protection Regulation, is the new European reference text on the protection of personal data.
It reinforces and consolidates data protection for individuals in the European Union.
This regulation replaces the former Directive on the protection of personal data and brings a number of key changes that you should be aware of.
It extends the scope of the law on data protection to all businesses, including companies outside of the EU, when these companies target EU residents.

According to Article 32 of the GDPR, in view of the state of the art, implementation costs, nature, extent, context and purposes of the processing, as well as the risks, the probability and severity of which will vary, with regard to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, the data controller and the data processor shall adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a suitable level of security given the risk, which may include, amongst others, as appropriate:
- the pseudonymization and encryption of personal data
- means of guaranteeing the ongoing confidentiality, integrity, availability and resilience of processing systems and services.
- means of restoring the availability and access to personal data in a timely manner in the event of a physical or technical incident.

These cookies will be stored for a maximum of 13 months.
How do we use your data?
Referrers’ email addresses are used to send them job vacancies.
In terms of candidates’ data, we may collect their email addresses, LinkedIn profile links or phone numbers to contact them.
Referrers’ personal data are not public and are only known to Keycoopt.
Furthermore, these data are not sold to third parties for marketing purposes.
Why do we collect your data?
These data enable us to suggest job vacancies that match your preferences and your search criteria.
It also lets us suggest these vacancies using your chosen channels of communications.
Lastly, this data is what enables us to recommend job opportunities to people who have been referred by someone in their network.
How long are these data stored?
Data are stored until the member deletes them, or the company managing the “member” database deletes them.
“Candidate” data are deleted 30 days from when the candidate indicates they are not interested in the referral.
